Leather bound book of 33 maps of the sections of the Cadboll estate in the parishes of Fearn, Tain, Edderton, Kincardine and Creich, surveyed by George Brown, Inverness, for Robert Bruce Aeneas McLeod 1813. A second volume covering the parishes of Rosskeen, Kilmuir and Tarbat has never been in the possession of the museum. The two volumes accompany the two valuation books (1308.2 and 3). <br><br>The maps are hand-drawn and coloured and accurately surveyed. Together with the valuation books they provide details of the tenants and the quality of the land and record many local Gaelic placenames which are no longer used.
