I am a descendent of Alexander Ross b. 1800 & Janet (Ellen) Ross b. 1799 of Tarbat. They emigrated to Malagash, Nova Scotia in 1831 along with their three children all born in Bindall: David b. 17th Dec, 1826, Christian Ann b. 27th Feb, 1829, George b. 27th Dec, 1830. Immigration records show that Alexander may have been the son of George R. Ross and Katharine Davidson of Tain.

I believe this picture may be children of a Ross relative that remained back in the Tain area.
