Message boy on baker's delivery tricycle

The boy on the tricycle is Lachie Gallie who was a message boy for Alexander's bakery located in Gladstone Buildings, King Street. The following is written on the back "This is Lachie on the bread van". Does anyone know where the picture was taken?

As far as I know, this was taken outside the family home at Thornhill. I seem to remember my Dad telling me this.

If you are Gallie hunting my great gt gt grandfather was Lachlan Gallie a crofter who lived on the hill of Tain. He's in the 1841 census as 80 that year and had a son Andrew and also Abner. I do think there was an Alexander but have beeen unable to link it. He appears in one of the documents on this site for labour requested to build the quarry road to clear some debt.

I always meant to add more to my original comment. This picture must have been taken not long before my Dad started as an apprentice joiner as he left school at 14, and was born in 1919. The family could not afford to keep him on at the Academy after free education ended at 14. The good old days were not that good. To earn a bit to supplement his apprentice pay he joined the Territorials on their expansion in 1938. And that is why he ended up at St. Valery with the 51st.

Does anyone have the death date for Alexander Gallie, son of Rev. Andrew. From FES I know that Alexander was b. 10 Oct. 1783. He served in Lt-col Patrick MacLeod's 2/78th (1804.)Thank you.
