this looks like a building that was on upper king street opposite the old odd fellows hall, this is where the coffins were made around 1929.

An advertisement in the 1914 publication, Easter Ross, has D Thomson & Co operating out of King Street as a Cabinet Makers and Upholsters, William Fraser being the proprietor.

My father bought the business of D Thomson & Co. from William Fraser in 1944, continuing to trade as cabinet makers, upholsterers and retail furnishers in Upper King St., from these premises and a retail warehouse directly across the road, until he retired in 1966.
I have many memories serving my upholsterer’s apprenticeship with William Baird, Nye McGillivray, Max Cieselski, David Munro, Charles Rattray and Nanette Skinner, to name a few.
Having succeeded my father in 1967, the premises of London House were acquired on the High Street, where the business name of D Thomson & Co continued until my retirement in 1994.

I am new to the computer. my family came from Tain. Grandfather Donald Ross (baker) d.o.b 1874. Grandmother Annie Matheson (dressmaker) d.o.b 1876. Do i have any relatives there? Please help!
