The Collections

This section of the site allows you to access part of our collections, which total about 15,000 historical documents, old photographs and objects. The section is subject to continual development.

The museum's collecting area extends from the Kyle of Sutherland through Easter Ross and south to Alness. The items in the collections mostly relate to this area, having been made, used or found here or having a link to someone from the area, or to the Clan Ross more generally.
