Provost Alistair Macdonald - the "Soda King"

This is taken from a slide by George Hamilton and shows Aliatair Macdonald in his Provost's robe posing in the Council Chamber. He was Tain's Provost from 1954 till 1958 and was proprietor of the Tain Laundry and Lemonade Works, hence the nickname "Soda King".
