Inspite of the double exposure and the large crack this photograph (probably taken in the 1920's) is a fine record of an interesting by-gone scene. Donnie Shivas's uncle (known as "Sturd") is seen delivering parcels wearing his Post Office uniform and using a quaint basket on wheels with the Royal Hotel, Tain, in the background.

Donnie Shivas had an electrician's business in the town.
