My grandfather as Provost of Tain was one of the original committee that provided all the uniforms and pipes an drums. I would love to have something from that time to give to my grandchildren who are now playing the drums and learning the chanter. Both of my sons play the pipes so we are keeping up the interest in Aberdeenshire. He was William Ross

I suspect that George Ross in the picture may have been my father. It is quite a low resolution image but even when pixelated while zooming in it is a striking resemblance. He died when I was 7 years old and I only have a few photos of him.
If I could get a higher resolution scan of the image to examine it further it would be greatly appreciated.

I have just seen this photograph of the band. The piper on the far right back row is my father, George Robertson. We do not have any photos of him in the bank and I would be grateful if at all possible to have a copy of this photograph, my email is jarpottersbar@outlook.com
Thanks John Robertson
