Count de Serra Largo & Family, Tarlogie
Peter Alexander Cameron Mackenzie became the Count de Serra Largo. After coming to Tain, he lived in Tarlogie House and both he and his wife took an active part in the life of the Tain area. They are seen here with their children - Cecil, Percy, Lionel, Raoul, Zsa Zsa, Maimie and Edward. This is one of a number of photocopies from the family album given to the museum by a grandson of the Count.

Peter Alexander Cameron Mackenzie married Dona Anezia Augusta do Amaral in Para Brazil on 14th October 1866 Her Father was Jose Maria do Amaral. His dates are 14 March 1813 to 23 Septr.1885., My Father Brevet Major Lionel do Amarel D.S.O. M.C. is left back in the photo. P.A.C. Mackenzie was made in Portugal Viscount of Serra Largo on 14th January 1894 and elevated to Count on 11 Jany. 1896 both by the grace of King Don Carlos.Can your record be amended?
