Davie Ross and Tommy Rostock, New Year, 1966

According to Pat Swanson, the stores counter at Tain Motors was used as a bar for the employees New Year holiday break up celebrations. Davie Ross was the car salesman and Tommy Rostock, the Garage Manager. He did not say to what extent the two are posing for the camera. If not, it looks as if the photo was taken well on into the celebrations.

None of the old garage hands looking in! Only ever see Tommy & Dodo. And Willie Innes very occasionally passing in the truck. Come on guys! Who's left of us?

Hi Pat, this picture could have been taken the week before I got married ( 19th March 1966 ) we had quite a session in the garage before heading for the Saint when the drams ran out.
In the 60's I was the Driver/Taxi Driver/Ambulance Driver.
I'm only taking a guess to the session, it was either the above or a Hogmanay excuse, but in the old days if you remember we didn't really need much of an excuse . If you remember me please send an email. regards peter
