Benny Bremner, NiggPat Swanson thinks this ph0to showing Benny Bremner sprinkling slipperine on the floor in preparation for the Nigg Badminton Club Dance, was taken c1963. For those not familiar with the practice, slipperine was, as the name suggests, used to make the dance floor slippy. The art was to sprinkle sufficient to allow the dancers to glide across the floor but not too much as to be dangerous.

I remember Benny well. When I started at Tain Royal Academy I took a really bad flu. Sandy Duff told Benny to take me home to Edderton. Benny took me right to the door. I got a posting later but never forgot the kindness shown by Benny.
