This is a wonderful photograph of my father holding the the magnum of whisky. Dad would have been in his early 40s when this was taken. I have fond memories of many others on the snap including my cousin Robin Graham. I went to school with Bob Lindsay's daughter Margaret, Ian Macgeregor's sons Duncan and Sandy. Neil Robertson's daughter Diane. Bob and Nan Beveridge were great family friends and Donnie's son Donald went to school with my sister.

Company records suggest that Macdonald & Muir officially sponsored the Open Pairs competition at Tain Golf Club from 1965, when it was known as the Highland Queen Tournament. It was renamed The Glenmorangie Tournament in 1994, when a new trophy was provided - a wooden quaich carved by the artist Jill Adam and finished in silver.
