Comments:
I believe there may be 3 or 4 ancestors in this photo. Andrew Ross (?son of Hugh Ross c1838), Andrew Gallie (?related to James Ross McLean Gallie), young Urquhart (?related to Andrew Urquhart c1845 and married to Barbara Gallie). We live in South Australia and are descendants of George Ross, born in Edderton 1840 and migrated to Australia 1867.

My great grandfather Robert Stenhouse (aka Bob Steen) is the 5th from the left on the back row. He was quite a local character apparently - would love to hear more

I believe the Angus Hepburn mentioned is my grandfather who worked for the railways and lived in Hilton. He married Isabella McAngus and they had 5 children. Subsequently he moved to Stornoway where he worked for the civil service before retiring to Edinburgh. I would appreciate any more information readers may have.
