A procession down Tain High Street to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The Murray Monument can be seen on the right with the old Commercial Bank, now the Highland Council Service Point beyond. The leading piper in the procession was a John Ross, whose pipes were made by Donald Macleod (father of Torquil Macleod), who used to have a grocer's shop on the corner of Bank Street where Morrison's Kitchen Centre is now. The pipes can now be seen in the museum.
